Fish For Ever Dinner and Auction
October 20, 2009
Fish For Ever would like to extend an invitation to you to attend this year's gala fundraising Dinner and Auction on October 20th at Le Dome in Oakville, Ontario. The doors will open at 5 p.m. with a complimentary bar followed by a fully catered, sit-down dinner at 7:30.
This is the major fundraising event of the year for Fish For Ever and all of the proceeds raised will be used towards fisheries and conservation related projects. In light of continuing federal and provincial cutbacks to natural resources programmes it is more important than ever for resource users to take up the cause of stewardship if we hope to pass our outdoor heritage on to the next generation. Just by attending the Fish For Ever Dinner and Auction you will be helping to conserve, preserve and enhance Ontario's waters and the creatures that call them home.
During the evening there will be dozens of fabulous items available to bid on in our live and silent auctions including all-inclusive fishing and vacation trips, original Canadian artworks, fishing equipment and camping gear, to name just a few. For the less adventurous there will be a raffle table loaded with wonderful prizes and everyone who attends the dinner and auction will be automatically entered into a draw for a special grand door prize.
Seating for the Fish For Ever Fundraising Dinner and Auction is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid disappointment we suggest you book your seats early. For your convenience you can order tickets on-line or by calling us at 905-632-8679 ext. 0. We look forward to seeing you there!
Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days
Kids love fishing, and police personnel know the benefits of children enjoying healthy outdoor activities. This inspired Fish For Ever to team up with Bob Izumi, Canadian Tire Corporation and the Police Association of Ontario to create a grassroots program that encourages youngsters to go fishing. The main objective of the "Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days" program is to encourage children to "get outdoors" to try the sport of fishing and to interact with police officers from their own community
